Use of a high enough screen resolution: 800 x 600 lines with 65 000 colors

DEMEURES DE FRANCE is devoted to publication of outstanding real estate. We believe that photos of sufficient quality and size are needed to be able to estimate the charm of a property.

For this reason, the pages of our site are designed to be viewed on screen with a resolution of 800 x 600 lines or higher. Unfortunately, the standard configuration of some PCs and Macintoshes is lower: 640 x 480. If this is your case, then the following red line is not entirely visible on your screen, and you have to use the horizontal scroll bar to see the right end of it.

Furthermore, some screens are configured to display only 256 colors. This number is not sufficient for good reproduction of a photo. The human eye can actually distinguish about 7.5 million colors. Thus, a perfect reproduction is only achieved by screens which display 16,7 million colors. However, a satisfactory quality can be obtained with 65 000 colors.

If you know how to do it (if you don't, get some help), setup the resolution of your screen to get a minimum of 800 x 600 lines with 65 000 colors. Every reasonably recent PC can provide this resolution. Higher resolutions depend on the capability of the graphic card of the machine. This resolution will offer you an increased working surface that is useful for all your software and not only for visiting DEMEURES DE FRANCE...

Use of Netscape Navigator 2.0 or Netscape Navigator 3.0 as your Web browser

The pages on our site are designed to be viewed with the Web browser Netscape Navigator 2.0 or 3.0, which is the most widely used, and probably the best. If you don't have it, you may download a copy from NETSCAPE Inc, by clicking on the button .

Use of the navigation buttons

We strive for making our site as simple to visit as possible. Navigation buttons are located at the head and foot of every page. Their meaning is listed in the following table.
