Genuine 17th century mansion in Dordogne

This property is located in the Aquitaine region, c.a. 1 hour from Bergerac and its international airport, in a famous region including well-known sites (Périgueux, Sarlat, les Eyzies, Lascaux, etc.) and vineyards (Monbazillac, Bergerac, Sauvignon, etc.) in a preserved village of the "Périgord noir" area. It features a mansion built around a squared courtyard with a wall-enclosed garden, a covered terrace and a detached orchard.

The mansion has a "L" shape and a huge gate leads to a first inner courtyard.

The mansion was built during the 17th century on former ruins (probably dating from the 12th century). A remarkable porch opens onto a paved courtyard (also called inner garden) that leads to the main entrance of the mansion.

On the ground level, a small entrance hall with exposed beams and stone distributes a living room (c.a. 40 sq. mt., 430 sq. ft.), with a stone fireplace and exposed beams, a kitchen with a monumental stone fireplace, stone floor, an access to the paved courtyard and also a staircase leading th the 3 levels, then a smaller kitchen, 2 bedrooms with fireplace, a bathroom, a shower room and a second entrance hall.

The staircase leads to the ground floor offering an independent access that opens onto a lane of the village. That level includes a housing with a beautiful main room, with tiled floor and exposed beams, 2 bedrooms, a shower room and a store room.

The attic, with parquet floor and stone walls, could be converted into additional rooms (c.a. 70 sq. mt., 753 sq. ft.)

There is also, on the ground level, a covered terrace (c.a. 36 sq. mt., 753 sq. ft.) used as a pleasant dinging room in Summer. A garage was built, below this former room, with an access to the village.
