Authentic 18th century chateau completely restored in Champagne region

This property is located in the south of the Haute-Marne department, in Champagne, but very close from Burgundy, around 280 km (175 miles) from Paris and 40 km (25 miles) from Dijon (Paris at 1.5 hours by TGV), 20 km (12.5 miles) from a railway station and not far from an access to a motorway, in a village with all shops and services. It is composed of a 18th century chateau with large and beautiful 19th century outbuildings in a fenced 5 ha (12 acres) park with a swimming pool.

Built at the beginning of the 18th century on the ruins of an ancient mansion, with stone and a tiled roof, the chateau was heightened during the 19th century and benefited from a complete restoration (exterior and interior). It is today in very good condition and runs a bed and breakfast activity with 4 charming bedrooms.

With a West/East direction and 2 levels (plus the ceilings and the cellar), with a façade offering a great number of large windows, the castle is warm and luminous. It offers 694 sq. mt. (7472 sq. ft.) of living space for 20 rooms including 11 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, with 184 sq. mt. (1982 sq. ft.) of reception rooms with a lot of period details: fireplaces in almost all the rooms, period parquet floors, flag stones in the hall and the kitchen, numerous wainscottings including one dating from the 17th century with a dresser in the dining room, mouldings, cornices, etc. The basement (180 sq. mt., 1939 sq. ft.) offers 3 linked ceilings. The chateau is equipped with fuel central heating (2 Wiessmann boilers).
