Continuation of the visit of the estate...

The ground floor features a large entrance hall with tiled floor and access to the main stone staircase, that is located in the central square tower. The left hand side includes a magnificent dining room (about 60 sq. mt., 646 sq. ft.) with vaulted ceiling, monumental stone fireplace of the Templars period, stained-glass windows and tiled floor, and an adjoining bathroom with vaulted ceiling, loopholes and tiled floor in the north-east tower.

The right hand side of the ground floor includes a professionally equipped kitchen with access to the cellars, a laundry room, a dining room, a bedroom in the north-west tower and another bedroom with bathroom in the south-west tower.

The main staircase is made of stone with a beautiful wrought iron railing. It leads up to the 1st floor, that distributes a vast reception room lighted by 4 windows with interior shutters, a Florentine marble fireplace, a library room with a secret passage, 4 bedrooms, one of which with vaulted ceiling in the north-west tower, and a bathroom in the north-east tower. The west wing has been converted into an independent accommodation with study, kitchen, laundry room, shower room and a large bedroom in the south-west tower. A second staircase leads down to the courtyard.

The 2nd floor distributes a long corridor with tiled floor, 7 bedrooms, one of which in the north-west tower with a staircase leading up to a crenelated terrace, and a bathroom in the north-east tower, with vaulted ceiling, stone floor and a staircase leading up to a crenelated terrace. On top of the west wing, a further crenelated terrace leads to the last floor of the south-west tower, that has been converted into a large library room with 7 windows on 3 sides, exposed chestnut framework and staircase. The attic is composed of a huge single room of ca. 300 sq. mt. (3 230 sq. ft.) with a bathroom and its own terrace on the roof.

A huge room of ca. 300 sq. mt. (3 230 sq. ft.) is located under the north terrace between the castle and the ramparts. It features a tiled floor, a fireplace, pillars and a big bay window. From this room, a 65 mt. (213 ft.) long corridor leads to 14 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. An adjoining garage for 6 to 7 cars is also located under the terrace.

The south-east tower is detached from the central wing. Its underground floor has been converted into a vast room of ca. 100 sq. mt. (1 076 sq. ft.) and a technical room for the swimming pool. The 1st floor is a chapel and the roof is listed.

The landscaped grounds (4.7 ha, 11.6 acres) are fully lighted at night. They feature a swimming pool, a well, a pond, underground passages and many stone or wood outbuildings: a large chalet with big bay windows hidden in the woods, a square dovecote with bedroom and terrace, ancient stables, etc. All these outbuildings have been converted into accommodations with bathrooms. Thus, the estate now offers 27 bedrooms in addition to those in the castle and can accommodate a total of 125 guests.
