Large 16th/18th centuries
chateau in the PercheThis property is located in the Orne department, 190 km (118 miles) west of Paris, 60 km (37 miles) from Le Mans and its TGV station, 30 km (19 miles) from Nogent-le-Rotrou and its access to the motorway, 5 km (3 miles) from the shops and services. It is composed of a 16th/18th centuries chateau with many vast outbuildings in 11 ha (27 acres) of landscaped grounds with no nuisance of any kind.

The chateau dates from the 16th century and was extended and modified during the 18th century. It is made of local stone with a slate roofing, with a round tower on each side of the 18th century wing and a turret on the west side. It has been recently renovated (façades, roofs and inside).

A private road across the grounds leads to the chateau. A double stone staircase with beautiful balustrade gives access from the courtyard to the reception floor.

The chateau offers a total interior space of ca. 1 200 sq. mt. (13 000 sq. ft.) on 4 levels, one of which being a half-buried floor, with ca. 900 sq. mt. (9 700 sq. ft.) of living space in excellent condition.

The ground floor features a vast entrance hall and, on the right hand side, a dining room, a reception room with parquet and 4 windows on 3 sides, a study in the eastern tower, a very large fully equipped kitchen with a small adjoining dining room, a pantry and, on the left hand side of the entrance, a large bedroom and a bathroom with jacuzzi in the western tower. Two spiral stone staircases lead upstairs.

The 1st floor distributes a suite with siting room, bedroom and bathroom in the western tower, 6 further bedrooms, one of which in the eastern tower, and 3 bathrooms. The attic includes an apartment in need of renovation and further convertible rooms in the 16th century part.
The half-buried floor has been renovated. It distributes a large room (ca. 60 sq. mt., 645 sq. ft.) with intersecting vaults, an ancient vaulted kitchen with a large 16th century stone fireplace, a wine cellar and several other rooms.
The property also features 5 independent outbuildings, all matching the safety requirements to welcome staff and guests. A converted farm is composed of 2 nearly identical parallel buildings of ca. 35 × 20 mt. (115 × 66 ft.) each, a 2-levels caretaker's house, a 2-levels cottage and an ancient orangery.
