chateau near Chablis in the Yonne departmentThis estate is located at the edge of a small village, 195 km (121 miles) south of Paris (with 170 km, 105 miles of motorway), 5 km (3 miles) from the shops and a railway station (1 h 1/2 to Paris). It includes a 17th century chateau, that was renovated during the 19th century, surrounded by 9 ha (22 acres) of landscaped grounds with several outbuildings.

The chateau was built at the end of the 17th century and was renovated after a fire at the end of the 19th century. It is made of roughcast freestone with a slate roof. It offers 600 sq. mt. (6 460 sq. ft.) of living space on 2 levels plus a basement and is in need of renovation.

The ground floor features a large entrance hall with mosaic floor, coffered ceiling and a stone staircase with a beautiful wrought iron railing, a large reception room (54 sq. mt., 580 sq. ft.) receiving light from 3 sides and decorated with beautiful parquet floor, fireplace and painted wainscotting, a dining room (34 sq. mt., 366 sq. ft.) with parquet floor and marble fireplace, a gallery with painted exposed beams, a sitting room (33 sq. mt., 355 sq. ft.) with parquet floor, monumental oak fireplace decorated with earthenware and painted wainscotting decorated with leather, a smaller sitting room (17 sq. mt., 183 sq. ft.) and a library room (25 sq. mt., 269 sq. ft.), both with parquet floor and fireplace. A small chapel and the kitchen are located in the 2 round towers.
The 1st floor distributes 7 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a shower room.

The outbuildings include 2 pavilions flanking the entrance gate, a guest's accommodation with a vast living room (60 sq. mt., 645 sq. ft.), 3 bedrooms and a bathroom, a caretaker's house in good condition, a 14th century dovecote, an orangery, sheds and garages with a convertible attic.
The landscaped grounds (9 ha, 22 acres) are wall-enclosed on 3 sides and feature century-old trees and a brook crossed by 4 bridges.
