The priory was founded by the Abbey of Jumièges during the end of the 10th century. It still has most of the buildings used by the monks for their religious and farming life: exceptional 13th century tithe-barn (M.H.-listed), chapel (I.S.M.H.-listed) and surrounding wall, 14th and 15th centuries storehouse and cider-press, 18th century dwelling and bakery. The estate was bought by its farmer during the French Revolution and has remained in the same family until 1980. The current owners bought it in 1984.

The main dwelling was built during the 18th century, with freestone walls and a slate roof. It offers 450 sq. mt. (4 840 sq. ft.) of living space on 3 levels with an entrance hall, a living room, a dining room and an equipped kitchen on the ground floor. The 1st floor distributes a large suite with 3 rooms, a large bedroom and 2 shower rooms. The 2nd floor includes a corridor leading to 4 rooms and a bathroom. |
