Sold Majestic 18th century chateau in the Eure department, 70 km (43 miles) west of Paris

Located at the entrance of a small village, 20 km (12 miles) from the town of Vernon and its railway station, 70 km (43 miles) from Paris, this 18th century chateau is set on 10 ha (25 acres) of wooded landscaped grounds. All shops and services are available 4 km (2.5 miles) away.

The chateau was built for the Duc de Fayet on the foundations of a 11th century stronghold. The building is made of roughcast stone with slate roofing. It covers 480 sq. mt. (5 200 sq. ft.) of grounds and offers a total interior space of 1 400 sq. mt. (15 070 sq. ft.) distributed on 3 levels, plus the attics.

Half-buried, the ground floor distributes a vast entrance hall (90 sq. mt., 970 sq. ft.) with slab stone flooring and studs, a 55 sq. mt.
